Original release date 11/5/22: This month we are paying tribute to "Songwriters". First up, is Dan Fogelberg. Daniel Grayling Fogelberg (August 13, 1951 - December 16, 2007) was a musician, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known for hits like "Same Old Lang Syn", "Leader of the Band", and his biggest charted hit "Longer". Dan was raised in Peoria Illinois. with two older brothers and his Classically trained pianist mother Margaret, and his father Peter, who was a band director at Woodruff High School, Pekin Community High School, and at Bradley University. Peter Fogelberg used to let Dan "conduct" the Bradley University band when he was just 4 years old. This served as an inspiration to later writing the song "Leader of the Band". So, on this episode I am happy to take time to share with you, some of Dan's writings while talking about what inspired some of them, while also introducing you to some amazing talent that will be covering these inspiring songs. 1) To The Morning - David Perry 2) Part of the Plan - Dan Fogelberg 3) Longer - Rebecca & James 4) Same Old Lang Syne - Tim Williams Band 5) Hard To Say - Dan Fogelberg 6) Leader of the Band - Dan & Dave Rucci 7) Run For the Roses - Templeton Thompson 8) Believe In Me - Kristin Ash 9) Rhythm of the Rain - Dan Fogelberg Find The Heavy Hitter Network on Social Media Rumble- HHNetwork Truth Social- @RedDotTRUTH Facebook Group- HHNetwork Gettr- @HHNetwork Gab- @HHNET Clouthub- @heavyhitter MeWe- Mario Romanelli Twitter- @MarioRomanelli11 YouTube- Heavy Hitter Network Telegram- Heavy Hitter Network HOTLINE 616-258-6386
