He  began playing piano at the age of six and picked up the guitar at the age of 14. He is the son of Simon Posthuma of the designer group the Fool. Douwe specializes in folk and country music and he has released four albums. Original release date 1/6/21 Duncan de Moor who is better known to fans as Duncan Laurence, is a Dutch singer-songwriter. He began his music career in 2014 at the age of 20 years old. He became a semi-finalist in the fifth season of The Voice of Holland. Laurence also ended up representing the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Arcade"  Duncan won the competition, giving the Netherlands its first Eurovision win since 1975.
